KnowboForm web site Promotion and Submission Software Tutorial

Create Site Filters

KnowboForm database contains a huge collection of sites to suit various submission objectives (or scopes of submission) such as directory submission, search engine submission etc. Each particular submission scope can further be restricted to meet certain requirements such as free submission sites or sites having high pagerank etc.

KnowboForm is designed to empower the web site owners and that is why it does not limit your choices of submission to a fixed set of sites. Unlike other submission software, with KnowboForm, you are in full control of the list of sites you want to be listed on.

Active Filter

As you select the tabs the active filter gets changed automatically. You can change however the active filter by choosing the options shown in the above figure and have a sites count by clicking on the Count Filter button. The part of the dialog shown above is common for all tabs. You can at any time choose Apply button to close the dialog and apply the active filter to the Site list. Choosing Cancel button will cancel editing of filter and close the dialog without applying or changing any filter.

The Default menu of this dialog (see in the first figure above) has the following purposes:

The above options can be convenient when you want to temporarily apply a filter and later switch back to the saved one.

Predefined Macros

Predefined macros help you generalize a SQL filter. You can use some predefined macros specially in the Submission Filter text box. In the Preset SQL tab you will find many examples of the use of these macros. Here is  an example Submission Filter text using macros:

$SHOW WHERE UserName=$USER AND SubDate>=$TODAY AND SubDate<$TOMORROW

The above macro filters out those sites that have been submitted to only today by the current user.

Described below are macros defined in KnowboForm:
